Watching the Final Four, how much does the Edward Jones Dome seat? It must not be big enough to host a Super Bowl or St. Louis would have bid on that. If that is the case, I wonder why they didn't make it big enough where they could host a Super Bowl?

About 70,000. (http://just****inggoogleit.com/)

Might be a thing to do with hotel rooms. The other big thing would have to be traffic. Trying to go downtown near the riverfront in STL on a busy day is not fun, I can't imagine a Super Bowl... maybe that really has nothing to do with it, but even if I lived there I don't think I'd even want to attempt it because of traffic.

That stadium is horrific. Went there for a preseason game a couple of years ago, and didn't know until the next day that neither Bulger nor Faulk played. You couldn't see shit, and the upper deck was cloaked in darkness.

Because Tagliabue is still pissed at us for stealing the Rams from LA.

Well thats some of it, but the main thing IMO, is NO Parking! There is nowhere down there to tailgate and hang out. YOu have to park blocks away in some lot with jacked up prices and then walk 15-20 minutes to get to the stadium.

I don't really think they give a crap about tailgating at the Super Bowl, I could be wrong...

Didn;t they have the SB there the year DT was in his car accident?

No, they were just hosting a playoff game.

And yes, downtown St. Louis sucks for driving and parking during sporting events. Takes forever to get in and out. Not quite as bad as Wrigleyville, but pretty damned close.

I have been there several times and the place just sucks. Can't see well and the fans are pathetic. Not to mention the parking!

And just to clarify - I've only been down there for Cardinals games. F#ck the Lambs and their pussydome. 4321

Parking does suck but Union Stadium and Laclede's Landing is pretty cool.

I was there for the NFC Championship game against Philly a few years ago and pussydome is being polite, that fockin' place is as bad if not worse than the Metrodome in Minnesota.

Having seen a football game at the Metrodome I'm not sure how that could be.

Dome football sucks. I thought I was at a Comets game.

It might be worth it to go see the Chiefs play there (the next regular season game will be on their turf). I'd love to see the Chiefs put up their typical three touchdown win against those turds in their own dome.

Basically my point,I've been to games in 3 different domes now and have nothing good to say about any of them.

Dome football sucks.

If Lamar gets his way, we are going to have one.
