It's probably been discussed etc, but I'm throwing it out there.

We wait until draft day and then ask miami about trading this year's forth and next year's 2nd for Surtain. On Draft Day we take a LB/DE at #15. Afterwards, we sign Ty Law.

That mean's wed have 2 quality CBs, 1 young up and coming DE/LB, Bell and Knight. We'd play Warfield on the #3

Anyway, thoughts?

If all Miami wants is a second, why give them a 4th AND a 2nd? Why not just offer them the one 2nd they want?

There is no way I would trade away a first round pick, this year, next year, or any year.

Who said anything about trading our first rounder?

The thread starter did, but it looks like he edited it.

Hell, I'd trade this year's 2nd.

Signing Law, however, I'm not so sure about. KC is paying Warfield an awful lot of $$$ to be a nickel. Granted, the Chiefs do need someone due to Warfield's impending suspension -- having McCleon, Bartee or even Battle as a starter for 4 games makes me more than a little nervous.

I voted "No" because I think we'd wind up screwed by the NFL for all the salary cap violations we'd have to commit to get all those guys signed. Who the hell do you think we are, Dungver?
