The prototype in the video is slow but it's still pretty cool.

While the video is downloading I'll just say that this is a stupid idea. How do these things give anyone an advantage in battle?

Dude, admit it, if it had a rack, you would hit it. :hmmm:

Especially if they're up against teddy bears with logs. :spock:

That part always scares the shit out of me. Giant self-governing automatons with destructive capability are my second greatest fear.

Yup..especially after they become self-aware.

The walking on that thing looks fake. How come they only showed an inside view of it walking and an above view? They never showed a shot from away from it? If those things were in real combat they would be so easy to knock over.

What a piece of shit...

Doesn't even walk.. just rolls on its feet.

Dumb.

You're both wrong. I've been madly in love with the AT-AT Walker ever since I laid eyes on it:

Oh this is old... It is a homemade walking maching.. only can walk on flat surfaces... And if fires nerf balls out of the cannon... It is just a giant machine...

Maybe you can answer me this: How come the snow speeder lasers can't get through the armor while they're walking but then, after they tie one up and it falls to the ground, all they have to do is shoot it with lasers to make it go ka-blooowy?

25 years later and I still can't figure that one out...

Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe they were just better able to hit a vital spot when the Walker was down, immobilized and not firing at them.

Please. Lucas hasn't directed a good film for almost thirty years...

I hate to say it, but I would bet almost any amount of money that the Japanese stole the basic concept from Star Wars. During my time living in Japan and working every day with their engineers they were the most uninventive people I ever met, brilliant at reverse engineering and improving on others designs but just terrible at creative thinking.

Who said anything about Lucas directing a good film? I said he was GoChiefs god. The guy has a hard on for starwars. Am I wrong?

Lol sorry I just realized Gochiefs didn't post it I jumped the gun. ROFL

Lucas being my god and me having a hard on for star wars are two very different things. The best Star Wars movies are the ones where Lucas has the least control.

Uh, it's 3:47 AM central time. I was watching a movie for the last two hours, so that would explain my absence.

Pipe Dream. Some shitty chick flick on Starz romance. It was about a plumber who poses as a film director to meet women.

As an urban control vehicle, maybe.

In military applications, it and the driver would be slaughtered.
