I don't care about anybody but the Chiefs. I have a passionate hatred for Denver, followed EXTREMELY closely with the Raiders, with Dallas taking up the rear of my hatred. Indy follows them (mainly because I can't stand Peyton Manning), and SD tops my long list of teams I just don't care about... now if SD starts becoming a yearly threat, then I'll care about them. I'm becoming a Pats hater, but that's mainly because of the nearly insufferable Pat fan I work with... he's STILL bragging about their SB win this year. About a week ago he was STILL bragging about the Red Sox winning the WS.

I guess either Indy or New England (about equal), before Cowher took over it used be the Steelers.

God, just asked myself what I'd do if the Conference Championships came down to Denver v. Oakland, and St. Louis v. Dallas. I may not watch any more football if that happened.

I don't know if that's even possible, but damn it would suck.

The Chiefs are worth 100, and the Vikings and Saints are worth .000001. It's not rewarding to be my second-favorite team.

I dislike the Broncos because I consider them a dirty team.

I do not dislike the Raiders as much as I used to. I do not care for the gangbanger-esque “Raider Nation” fan mystique. The costumes look like fun, but how humiliating is it to dress up all rough and dangerous and have your team lose?

I do not in any way dislike the Patriots, but I am tired of them. I am ready to kick them to the curb and welcome the newest fashionable team. I hope that is the Chiefs.

I would like the Ravens’ but I am incapable of good feelings towards a team with Ray Lewis on the roster. He should be in jail. Period.

I disliked the Cowboys for years. That “America’s Team” crap when I was getting into football was offensive. Since they have sucked for so long, I am willing to let the vendetta drop. I do not care about them at all. Color me disinterested.

I kind of like the Steelers’ approach to the game. If there were such an animal as a “second favorite” team, I guess it would be them.

Not sure if such a DISTANT second counts, though.

I caught gaz using the wrong font.

Yesterday, Laz complained that my posts were really big. I use a Garamond font, which is natively very tiny:

This is what native Garamond looks like.

As it turns out, Laz did not have Garamond installed on his computer, so he was seeing the native font for ChiefsPlanet at a size appropriate for Garamond. I originally chose Garamond as the GazFont because it was on every computer [or so I thought]. Since Laz had problems, it occurred to me that I might be irritating other folks as well. So, I am toying with different font/size combinations to find one I like.

Carry on. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

man, the jets can go to hell. on nfl network, they showed the jets in their locker room after a win, and these derelict, thieving bastards had the nerve to say "and the home of the...JETS!"

get the f*** outta here with that. i've already heard some teams trying to jack the touchdown chant and screw it up horribly.

As a former Texans season ticket holder, I don't dislike that team. I'm especially fond of their cheerleaders.

But, like Rainman said - there's a pretty vast rift between favorite and 2nd favorite.

I'd say the Patriots. I have been a secondary Pats fan for years. That was pretty hard. For a while neither the Chiefs or the Pats could win shit. So seeing the Pats succeed the last few years has been nice, but it has me hoping that if the Pats can succeed my Chiefs can't be that far behind. It gives me hope.

Hoping and praying for the Chiefs.

I like to cheer for the Lions. It started out as being a big Barry fan, and kept interested after he retired... unlike most everyone else.

Mooch is really turning them around, and I couldn't be happier. Now if they could only draft worth a crap...

I have no second place team. However I try to watch a lot of other games for fantasy reasons, if I were to root for another team it would be whomever is playind the Donkeys or Faiders. When it comes down to the super bowl it's always the afc except when the Faiders or Donkeys are their.

Steelers.

Once the weather turns to winter I don't mind spending a couple hours in a nice (non-smokey) pub that has NFL ticket to watch the Chiefs but it's still a chore I'm not up to some weekends. Especially if their playing a team like the Saints for Cardnals.

I enjoy the Steelers and it allows me to keep up on the local banter of my mates sports chatter.

To be honest, I'm really starting to not give a shit one way or the other with Peterson still steering the ship.

Really? I don't think I watched that year or something.
yea they only came close once, really close like by 3 feet close, thats the only time they have ever been to the superbowl. but they were in the playoff for the next 4 years after that, the Ravens knocked them out of the superbowl about 4 years ago.
this past season they just plain sucked, then couldn't afford to keep their half assed good players, who knows whats gonna happen this coming up season.

Living in North Carolina since 1984, I was thrilled to finaly be able to catch a game without the 6 hr. drive to Atlanta. As such I have followed the Panthers since day 1 and they are kind of a 1b for me.
Cheifs of course being the 1a.

Yeah it was botter sweet watching both my teams make the big dance, even worse when my 2nd fav destroyed my boy's, but hey, thats life.

Always did love an underdog, and prior to Gruden ariving thats what they were, and seemingly going to again. (which explanes my strange affiction for the Ra!ders)

Let me explain. The first team I ever saw play football on television was the Cowboys. Dallas was the first permanent residence I had in the US and I lived there for like 13 years. I HATED the Cowboys during the SB days because they won too much. When they got shitty I started rooting for them because my dad's a fan and I like rooting for underdogs.

The first pro football game I attended was the 92 Chiefs and Cowboys. We lost 17-10 but I started rooting for KC just because I hated the Cowboys.
