Like the players, there's a certain profile. The profile doesn't really include qualities that improve performance on the field, but it sure does make the team pot-luck a rousing success.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and even if their wives/gfs aren't "hot" doesn't mean they don't know whats ugly out there, these cheerleaders are the uglies I have ever saw.

She calls her company "Hartbeat Productions" and she's where the buck stops. Donna basically just tracks the bucks, pays the bills and helps do the administrative stuff (like schedule appearances and such).

I know you guys are having fun bagging on the less than perfect ones; but the girls do good things. They just got back from trip to GTMO, Cuba to entertain our troops there.

The cheerleaders are certainly a lot better now than what we had in the late '80's when we had GUY cheerleaders (The Broken Arrows.) Now THAT was pathetic!

When I was in high school, the cheerleader selections were based on "school spirit." It was embarrassing. We had one cheerleader who was built exactly like a potbelly stove. I was surprised they could even buy a cheerleader uniform that fit her.

I'm all for letting people pursue their dreams, but come on.

I'm also pretty good friends with Kara's cousin who I see a lot more often. Compared to what the rest of the teams in our division are fielding their hounds. There are a couple who are decent this year but you could say that for any team that has cheerleaders. I was very impressed with what San Diego had out on the field last year, very nice indeed. I think all of our eyes need a break, we need to check out some Charger Girls.

You know, it's been mentioned every time this comes up that the KC cheerleaders don't receive any pay, while other squads like Dallas, San Diego, St. Louis and Seattle do.

This little tidbit srt of renders that a moot argument, though.

A: Following a thorough investigation of Yahoo!'s NFL Cheerleaders category, we found a rough approximation of what these women earn per game. The outfits donned by these dancing dervishes aren't the only skimpy aspect of the job -- turns out the pay per game is rather minimal.

After clicking through a few of the official sites, we finally found one that stated exactly how much their cheerleaders make per game. On the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders page, we clicked on the "2003 Audition Information" link and then selected "Rules and Regulations." It states:

Cheerleaders are paid $50.00 per home game.
There is no pay schedule for rehearsals.
Opportunities for paid appearances and shows are available!

So for the privilege of being one of the lucky 30 or 40 who make the final cut, the Cowgirls stand to earn approximately $500 ($50 x 10 home games).

That's what the Cowboys pay, but what about other squads? Most don't list any sort of pay scale, but the San Diego Charger Girls make $60 per home game, the St. Louis Rams squad makes $50 per game, and the Seattle Seahawks Sea Gals make an unspecified hourly wage. To back up our research, we found this page that offers Pro Cheer tips. It states, "The pay may range from only $15 to $50 per game."

OK so ugly is an objectionable term to you. I would say these women are mostly 3s, 4s and 5s on a 10 scale. Are they 1s and 2s certainly not.

Let me ask you this, would you really want to see any of the ones that have had links posted in a Playboy spread? That is my test for a Cheerleader's acceptability.

No, I probably wouldn't want to see most of them in Playboy. And as I've said 100 times now, I don't mind having those kinds of standards for cheerleaders. I just wish people would say, "these girls aren't hot enough to be NFL cheerleaders," rather than "these girls are butt ugly."

Well, dancing takes some skills too. But, I see your point and agree with you. In general, these girls do seem behind the NFL curve in hotness, and I've never seen them doing anything so athletic to lead me to believe they were chosen based on that ability, either.

I live in San Diego and you cant walk down the street with out seeing hot women. the cheerleaders are gorgeous, ive taken photos with them. I also live and work downtown, so i see the clubing girls every weekend..and damn....anyways. I may be talking out of the @ss here cuz ive never been to Kansas City, but im assuming a city like San Diego, Miami and Atlanta have a better hot chick ratio, so it's easier for those teams to find hot women that can also dance. Im not saying that Kansas City has no hot women, so pls dont get the wrong Impression, im just saying those teams have a lot more to pick from.
