"If Johnson does make it this far and the Chiefs don’t add him, expect mayhem in Kansas City. "

That pretty much says it all.....id be shocked if he fell that far....I think the farthest he would drop is 10-12.

Assuming we added Surtain as well, I'd do backflips over that draft.

this mock pretty much has our ideal start ... QB's,WR's and RB's

every pick that goes by without a LB or CB taken is a good one for us.

1 Alex Smith QB Utah
2 Ronnie Brown RB Auburn
3 Braylon Edwards WR Michigan
4 Cedric Benson RB Texas
5 Aaron Rodgers QB Cal

I think McFadden could be a very good nickel and could develop into a great CB. He is generally ranked in the top 8-10 CBs in a very deep CB class.

He's a physical corner with good size. Most of what I've seen or read seems to think he may not have the quickness for man to man in the NFL, but I think he's a Gun kind of player.

I'll take that draft. I don't know enough about McFadden and Ruud who I do like is also still available with our second. Add Surtain and we've got ourselves an offseason fellas.

i'm not sure about mcfadden

but Chris Henery is a great third round pick

He could be the steal of the draft i'd like if the draft fell this way i'd choose a different cb though.

If we got DJ in the first, McFadden in the 2nd isn't a bad choice, from the scouting reports I've read.

But Chris Henry in the 3rd doesn't look like a Dick/Al type receiver to me.

If we go LB in the first, then we have to go CB in the second, ruling out any hope of Ruud.

Jared Allen didn't seem like a Vermeil "profile" type of guy either.

Vermeil will bend on his profile if it is a guy that has exceptional ability. I think Henry could be one of those guys.

I think Dick is more flexible on D than he is on O, especially at the WR and RB position.

If we could get DJ is the first...Ruud in the 2nd instead of the Pats...
and Henry in the 3rd.... :thumb:

Wow. I couldn't complain about that at all.I'm wondering if the Planet could survive the reaction to that pick. We're prepared for the worst, obviously, tons of shouting and throwing things after the pick. But I think all the stunned silence and "holy crap" posts if we actually liked a pick might fry the server.

I think the server goes down either way.. Either in angst, or Joy... :)

I would say you're probably correct.

I dont think DJ could possibly fall to 15, tho. If he did, I would probably do something rash, that wont be mentioned for demand of pictures.

I love round 3 with the Henry addition. If it wasn't for his problems, he would be a late first rounder IMHO.

Dan Cody would be hard to pass up in the 2nd.
