Sure hes a Leprechon, but hes explosive once he hits the hole. He may be worth taking a gamble on in the 3rd or 4th round if hes still around?

we already have a kick returner...

Sure. In the 8th round.

exactly.

Sproles is too small, I would much rather we take a RB in the late rounds (6 or 7) or even take one as an undrafted free agent. A 3rd string RB is not a priority, especially in the 3rd or 4th round.

I just have nightmares of the Broncos or Raiders drafting him.

I wouldn't mind it in the 4th-5th range. I think he'd be a fair replacement for Blaylock as the #3.

HELL NO. That midget didn't even make 3rd team all Big XII.

No kidding, what a 3-headed monster that would be at RB for any opposing defense. Priest= Finesse, LJ=Power Sproles=Speed

I HOPE the Donx draft him. Then they'd have two midgets.

Matt Jones is a better RB and we should take him in the first round.

Nope. As Sproles biggest vocal supporter on this board, and how much i'd love to see him in a Chiefs uniform, we simply do not have a need for him.

HOWEVER, I think he will surprise the lot of you. He's got great speed, a tremendous work ethic, he's strong as an ox, and has good field vision. I just hope he doesn't go to the Raiders.

Yeah. He just made 2nd team. Dumbass. :p

Remind me again where John Randle ended up?

I don't think a RB late, someone along the lines of the Blaylock pick a few years ago (that doesn't necessary mean Sproles in particular), would be a bad move. There is an opening on the roster. I don't think every pick needs to be defense.

I think we should almost certainly not draft him. If we could get him VERY late (6th or 7th) <em>maybe</em>, and I wouldn't mind us signing him after the draft as a free agent, but that's about it.

Uh No. We already have Holmes and LJ. I really don't think we want to p*ss LJ off again by bringing in competition. At any rate, we don't need another RB. Robert Holcombe will serve as our backup FB and third string RB.

Personally I would much rather the Chiefs take a flier on Ryan Moats. I think he would fit perfectly in this offense.

That wouldn't piss me off nearly as much as Sproles in ANY round.

He will probably end up being like the Raiders Napoleon Kauffman was. Was decent for a few seasons, but then faded away after 3 or 4 years in the league.

Not rough at all, IMO. Sproles sucks. No RB of that size has ever made it in the NFL to my knowledge. Now we'll get to hear about Barry Sanders. Sanders was 5'8" and was a once-in-a-lifetime deal like a Michael Jordan.

Because those little tiny legs have to churn 3 times as much as those of an average back.

ROFL That's some hilarious shit.

I'm sure the Donks are drooling all over him. He's a 4'9 gnome and fumbles ALL the time.

Saulbadguy

He's being compared to Dave Meggett.

His combine numbers have been pretty good. Tied for the fastest back in the draft (JJ Arrington), and he is one of the strongest. I predict he will go in the 4th.

LOL, he's not Dave Meggett, he's Darren Midgett.

ROFL Yep, he's just too small. Everybody except Saul is smart enough to see it. But, then, Saul is a high school dropout.

I hope not, but if we want to waste a 6th or 7th rounder on him I would not really care.

Gee, our college affiliations aren't jading this discussion at all.

Sproles is explosive, and a potential game breaker. I don't think the Chiefs should take him, because we don't have a need for his talents. But he'll make some team very happy.
