What is gonna be our record now? We did this post awhile ago when we only had Kendrell Bell let's see how things change now that we have all that and a bag of chips! I'll kick it off saying we go 12-4 with home field advantage. We did it two years ago without a D now with a D and a relatively easy schedule except for about 5 or 6 games I say 12-4.

A relatively easy schedule?

Yeah tell me who we need to worry about besides new england, philadelphia, and division games.
The hard games that I see:
New England
Philadelphia
New York Jets
Bengals
Redskins
Chargers

:cuss:

No. Anyway but 13-3. That is a curse to us. :shake:

LOL ok 12-4 what do you guys think.

I'm still sticking by 11-5. Our offense choked a few times last year and they are no spring chickens. Thankfully the D will be picking up a LOT of slack.

WTF?
I was kidding. I say anywhere from 11-13 wins. I would like to stay away from that evil 13 though, so 11-12.

The pessimist in me says...10-6 :( & the optimist in me says....14-2 :p .

Let's split the difference....12-4 sounds about right!

10-11 wins would be just fine, assuming that gets us in the playoffs!

Let's see. If you think those are the only "hard games," then we have 11 hard games (NE, PHI, NYJ, CIN, WAS, SDx2, DENx2, OAKx2).

How do you figure that 11 "hard games" out of 16 makes for a "relatilvey easy schedule?"

I love the offseason, but it's way too early to predict. I want to see these players together on the same field and maybe a couple preseason games before i give any predictions

How do you think the Oakland Raiders and the Denver Broncos are gonna be hard. I think we sweep em both. Denver is just gonna be awefull this year and Oakland might have randy moss but kerry collins won't get it to him as much as some might think. San Diego will be hard and it would take a RETARD such as me I suppose to think that way. We WILL sweep Denver and Oakland mark my post if you want to but that's just the way it will go.

I stick by my earlier prediction of 11-5.

Dude, are you on crack?

It was YOU that said the division games were the ones we needed to worry about. That these were in our "hard games" group.

Oh wow you caught me! OK let me specify even further what I meant by division games. IF we lose to Oakland and Denver which won't happen but if we do it will only be one game. It won't be a sweep. What I am saying is that you have NYJ, WAS, at DEN, at OAK, at SD, PHI, NE, and CIN. These will be difficult games in my opinion due to some teams greatness last year and some teams did really well in the draft. But you look at five of those eight are at home. Home games with damn good upgrades on defense means we may lose two or three of them but not all five.

Did anyone take that bet with Taco about his defense being better than ours?

If not, has anyone changed their mind about that bet?

I dont care what the record is as long as we are the Division Champs and make it to the superbowl so that could well be 9-7....

We are much better off than we were a week before. We patched up some major holes on our defense...however, I believe that it will take some time for everyone to work together and gel as a defensive unit.

Honestly, I don't see the Chiefs coming out of the preseason on a hot streak. I don't see them going 9-0 to begin this season. Nevertheless, I think the defense is vastly improved, and my prediction is that the Chiefs will be in the playoffs again and actually win a game or two.

11-5 (that's without looking at the schedule).

Some of those fools at the Mane were telling me "our DJ is better than your DJ!"

Yeah...because DJ Williams was the best linebacker in the country....NOT!!!

I remember the post where Taco John was looking for someone to take a bet saying his D was going to be higher ranked than our D by the end of this upcoming season.

At the time (of what I read) nobody wanted to take that bet - and I can't blame them - but I'm wondering with the upgrades, if anyone would feel differently.

I'm not really sure. Maybe after a couple of games.......

I bet Taco was taking bets on our O vs theirs in 2001/2002. That turned out pretty good.

The Chiefs have to get better on D one of these days. We never thought the O would be worth a crap after Marty but look what happened.
