Although players are drafted and have no control over which team chooses them, evaluating players is still kind of a recruiting process. For instance, a player might feel good about him if a high quality, successful organization shows interest in him.

This had me thinking - like the Patriots might be Harvard while the Browns might be Florida State (no offense FSU alum - you dumb bastards :p ).

If NFL teams were compared to universities (academic prestige), what would the Chiefs be? The rest of the AFC West or NFL?

Plenty of expectations every year, only to choke in post season if they make it.

As a Hawkeye fan, I was going to suggest Iowa. But then I remembered they've actually won in the postseason.

The Chiefs as of now are like Yale secretly the best. but let others think they are so we can hide in the shadows and attack when the time is right.
