Heh. I remember questioning my father when I first saw Star Wars. 1977 at the Royal Somethingorother Theater in London. "Daddy? Why are those explosions so big? I thought there wasn't any oxygen in space?"

My brothers beat the crap out of me after the movie.

Nor the ability of every single spaceship to have the exact same up/down relationship to one another in an environment where up and down not only do not exist, but one flying outside that particular up/down range would wreak havoc on all others stuck inside the two dimensional thinking.

Also note that Star Wars explosions occur in perfect rings instead of irregular ball shapes. Evidently gravity works in space as well.

Actually...the rings were added in for the special editions. Here is the original:

Seriously, as long as the fighter is legit i think it would be a good investment.

For one it will continue to be worth more as the years go by. Star Wars original anything in good conditon or better is a big market.
Also it would beat the stock market per year as far as percent in return.

And you can still make money on it in the meantime by allowing a museum or whatever to put it on display. Example have the place pay you $750 a month to display it.

I believe most are donated. I don't think there is a 'rule' that all items must be donated though.
I was thinking if someone a a big restaurant, and they had it hanging in the air from above it would be cool. And entice people and Star Wars geeks of all ages to come in and check it it let alone pay for a steak dinner or something.

They'd have to sell a lot of chicken nuggets, string cheese and Mountain Dew to cover the rental expense.

GoatCheese getting a job is just about as likely as him getting layed.
