So, the wife's sister is coming into town over the weekend. She wants me to provide her with entertainment options around town so we can show her sister a good time. I've lived here an entire year, I'm old, I'm married, I have children. I don't get out much.

So, please tell me where we should go, why it's cool, and if they'll mind if an old, fat guy gets a little lit up and streaks. I think a jazz venue would be pretty cool, so I suggested the Emporium.

Okay, I'm going to stop typing now and read your submissions. Thanks.

Go to the most prestigious entertainment venue the KC Metro area has to offer.

Lunar Bowl.

Make sure you drop my name so you can get past the long line, body guards, and red velvet rope

Depends on where she is from, and if they have an IMAX in her area...

If she has kids too... the Zoo is a good option, because of the IMAX.

A shitty Royals game is an option, Friday Night Fireworks are nice.

18th and Vine is entertaining... jazz, negro league museum, and whatnot...

a tour of Boulevard Brewery where they make shitty ZON beer is also an option.

You don't have to entertain her. It would be much more cheaper to just pay for a manwhore and have him entertain her for the entire visit. It would be like she wasn't even there so you don't have to put up with her.

Sit down with the wife and discuss it and then make the arrangements if you decide to go in that direction. Gochiefs tells me manwhores go like hot cakes, literally and figuratively, so you better make the decision fast.

No need to thank me, have a good one.

I must have an immunity to orange because I can't taste the orange even though I know it has that flavor. I still like it. In fact, I think I'm gonna go crack one now.

If you hate her then take her to NASCAR lol.

I can take her out to Johns upper deck if the weather is nice... Maybe a little velvet dog... or Take her out to eat on the plaza(cheescake or houstons) maybe art gallery after that... Go listen to some jazz music and then drinks...

Or I can hit her with some paintballs..

Hey good old St Joe is only 45 minutes away... You can go to Judy's D&G for lunch then Barbosa's for dinner and the Brown Bear Tavern for drinks!

If you are lazy and stay in KC, you may want to head to the River Market if you have time... but honestly I can't stress enough how big a hit the Savoy has always been when I was entertaining "foreigners"

I haven't been out in KC for a long time. But, I'm sure they have a piano bar up there. When we go out in Springfield we have had the most fun there. The regular bars are are full of 18-24 year olds and get tired of them pretty easy. The piano bar is a good mix of ages.

Sports bars are always fun and strip clubs are always a good choice!

HellifIknow. I probably said something smart to a couple of hotties and they were offended. So they sent old boy over to take care of it. I was just laughing about it and the girls were telling me he was a former Royal (as if he could hit me or something, I guess). He figured out very quickly that I was just having a good time and became friendly himself. I did manage to tell him that celebrities don't impress me.

Oh - oh, there were also some Kansas basketball players at the Point. Some 6'7" benchwarmer and I had a chat for a while. He was pretty cool. He told me the greatest shooter in the history of the Jayhawks program was also in attendance. Since I don't know who in the hell that is, I told him I didn't care.
