yep thats when you know who your friends are.
We just moved last week and it was Stumppy and the 2 boys and myself that did it all.
All these "friends" were down all the time before, but those 3 days of moving, they were no where around.
Good luck on your move I hope its safe and easy as can be.

When's the last time you helped someone else move?
A friend helps you move, a real friend helps you move bodies.

Last week I helped my friend stay put. It's a lot easier than helping someone move. I just went over to his house and made sure that he did not start to load shit into a truck.
As a teenager I once helped a friend move.
The method was sheer genius. I merely put price tags on all his stuff, sat it in his yard, and neighbors came by the score to help move it away.

Whew.
We made it to the new house. We hired movers bring the stuff over, but it will take months to get everything where it needs to go.
Phobs is kinda right; we basically moved into our backyard, but it took 9 movers (starting out, wound up with around 12 as the day wore on) 10 1/2 hours to move. They thought they could ge everything on two trucks, but it wound up taking three and 1/2 to get everything to the new house.
I have good friends, but I wasn't going to try and make them move us as I know my wife has too much stuff. I think she finally realizes that as well now.
We just need to get the grass going now. I'm worried that this late in the spring, it will have a hard time taking.
