Burogs looked good for the first 2 batters....I still think he needs more time in Omaha. I think the Royals are just afraid of winning.

Just back from the game. Thought it was our night, but, clearly, I was wrong. Not a badly played ball game. We did play good defense and cashed in our chances to score when we had them. Sometimes a hitter sends your closer's best pitch into the fountains. It sucks that we seem to have more than our share of those moments.

Oh, well. We'll get 'em tomorrow. Go Elvis.

What was the attendance? I was reading a story yesterday in the Star and they showed a picture of the guy who was the focus of the story and judging by the empty seats it looked like maybe there was a couple of thousand at most in the stadium. I think the Omaha Royals are averaging better attendance so far this year.

The announced attendance was something like 19,500. It looked like that was about the right number. A lot of people were in the upper deck. Sometimes they announce a number, and it looks like a few hundred people are there, but that wasn't the case tonight. Of course, it was buck night and they had fireworks afterward, so they drew decently.
