How could it not be someone from the 72 team? I mean, they're the greatest of all time. Just ask them.

I really dislike Larry Little. What a chump he is. I predict prison in his future.

Larry Little? What did Larry Little ever do to you?

It's not me. It's that poor woman's family from St. Louis.

Weird. That's exactly the reason that I won't listen to any of Leonard Bernstein's music.

Tough list. I went safe and chose Marino, Griese, and Csonka.

We don't mention that name on a Chiefs board, Floridachief.

Feeling a little guilty over leaving Buoniconti off the list.

I'm not sure how you can pick Marino over Griese.
Not only did he win super bowls but Brian came from his loins giving us more planet fodder then any other player. God I miss him in a Bronco uniform.

Marino, Csonka and Mercury Morris.
GRIESE & MARINO a tie but the other 2 i agree with you.
CASHMAN.
Marino & Griese is really a toss up.
Greise got the ring, but Marino went there in his first year? If any QB deserved one, it was Dan.
Seeing as how I grew up watching Dan, I gotta go with him. Maybe it was envy that KC passed him up. :deevee:

I'm surprised that Griese is doing so well. I thought he was an above-average QB, even a good QB, but his job was mainly to hand off to Csonka, Kiick, and Morris.
He wasn't even close to being in Marino's league, in my opinion.

Yup. His career passer rating is 77.1 That puts him below Plummer's season last year and in the neighborhood of Palmer and Bledsoe. Those guys didn't exactly have HOF seasons last year.

It was different game back then. Pass interference was rarely called.

Griese, Marino & Csonka are the three Miami Dolphins who have had their numbers retired.

Can't stand any of them, but they were all great players.

Dan Marino
Bob Griese
Zach Thomas
Thomas has been one of the best LBs in the league and has played his whole career in Miami....had to go with him as the 3rd choice

Granted, but if you compare him against the other HOF passers from his era, he has the second lowest rating and one of the better surrounding casts on the offensive side of the ball. Were he on any other team from that era, he would have never sniffed the HOF.
Dawson 82.6
Bradshaw 81.6
Gresie 77.1
Staulbach 83.4
Starr 80.5
Unitas 78.2
Tarkenton 80.4
Namath 65.5

I'm surprised at the lack of love for Larry Little. He rocked.
I'm also pleasantly surprised at the low voting for Richmond Webb. I had nothing against the guy, but I was always miffed that he would knock John Alt out of the pro bowl every year, and I thought he benefited a lot from Dan Marino's fabled quick release.

Larry Little was a beast!

Yeah, I'm stunned. I figured Little was a lock for a top-three spot.
I'm also trying to figure out how we got over 100 votes on this thread. Did some Dolphin lurker spread word to Fins BB or something?
