All these experts say he can't shed blocks, but if like DT he is fast enough to get around blocks it shouldn't matter. As the article says, when he gets caught where he needs to shed a block, they will have him ready.

I guess I never realized that Green hasn't been hurt for a long time. Once I read that, now I'm paranoid that he will get hurt and now I have to worry about our backup QB situation!

I'm telling you, this guy will end up being our Jeff Hostetler... :)

I don't think the fact (as the article claims) that DJ has trouble shedding blocks is the only reason he dropped.

The teams ahead of the Chiefs who took LBs, play a 3-4 defense and DJ is better suited for a 4-3.

Did Teicher write this article? It reeks of him

Johnson did fall in the draft, there is no question. The writer is simply trying to justify it somehow, and the taking on the blocker is the most logical choice. However, I'm willing to bet that this facet of linebacking taking on blockers is probably the biggest improvement all linebackers need to make coming out of college. Even LaVar Arrington had his problems, and he was supposed to be a Derrick Thomas clone with even more athleticism, and so far he has been so so. Kendrell Bell is still a huge Question Mark. The dude hasn't played in awhile, so by default we can't be sure if he will be all the way back when the season starts. The rest of our outside linebackers are more finesse players than real playmakers, and our middle still doesn't have a definitive starter. A C- is kind of harsh, but this guy is doing some speculating at his keyboard, and he probably doesn't know WTF he is talking about anyway.

Kendrall Bell should play the inside linebacking job. No question.

Who is Jeff Hostetler?

He was the QB when the Giants won the superbowl (Simms was hurt), then later signed on with the Fade and sucked azz in classic Faider fashion... :)
