I see NBC released their fall schedule today. The good news is that "The Office" is going to return next season, but there's only one new comedy on their entire schedule... "My Name is Earl", featuring Jason Lee (From the Kevin Smith movies).... there are only three other comedies on the schedule, and "Joey" already has terrible ratings. Scrubs isn't on the schedule but supposedly NBC said it'll come back sometime during the season. Is the situational comedy dead?

8 p.m. -- "Fathom"
9 p.m. -- "Las Vegas"
10 p.m. -- "Medium"

Dang none of those new shows look even remotely interesting to me.

I guess I'll stick with ER as the only show on network TV that I watch.

The problem is entertainment, not comedy. People are more interested in reality television and knock-off shows and it's all gravy for the stations because they're a lot cheaper to make. All thought has been taken out of programming today for the most part. So it's really our fault, the American public for eating it up.

Joey actually has a great cast, aside from "Joey." The Soprano's chick and the dude from Road Trip are great in the show.

For a comedy geek, this is sad news. I can't stand the reality stuff and some of the new comedies are just crap. I do like According to Jim, Scrubs, Will and Grace, Joey, Still Standing, the Office, Family Guy, etc., but even some of those could use better writing at times. What the hell is going happening?!?

Most network comedies are pretty crappy anyways. I do like King of Queens though, that fat guy is hilarious.

I think the best show on television is Boston Legal, comes on right after Dispickable Housewives. Very good humor! :)

I thought they took it off for the rest of the season. Used to be my fav, but hasn't been on in a while.

The reality tv shit has really taken over network television, because it's real easy to put together and people eat it up. I've noticed a real lack of creativity and originality in entertainment today, especially evident in movies. It's staggering the number of movies that come out these days that are remakes of good movies made 20+ years ago.

It will be back, just no re-runs. For once they are not over-exposing something. I think they are taking a cue from HBO! However, I would love to watch the re-runs of Boston Legal.

If my life is any barometer, the big fat bald dude marrying the hot chick is much closer to reality.

That's purely a theoretical issue to me, and way out of my realm. It's like asking me my theory about discontinuities in quantum mechanics.

I don't care about the comedies. Why isn't the Contender gonna be on anymore. And what happened to LAX and Hawaii i liked those shows.

Commercials are the worst at this. Some hot young MILF cleaning toilets, showing her stupid fat bald husband how clean the bowl is when she is done. He smiles, she smiles. You know what he's thinking...."Damn, how did I get that?" She's thinking "****, I need to refill my Zoloft."

I've always been a fan of his. Not sure about the sit-com idea though...

The good news is that "The Office" is going to return next seasonVery good news. Screw comparisons to the original, it's fun to watch. Hopefully, Ricky Gervais will keep working on it and be able to show up on Arrested Development next season as was planned prior to the, err, house order reduction, too.

Should someone call Bill Cosby?? They said the situation comedy was dead 21 years ago too.
