Dolphins Sign DT Traylor

The Miami Dolphins bolstered the middle of their defensive line today when they signed 14-year veteran tackle Keith Traylor to a two-year contract. Traylor had been released by the Patriots on May 4. To make room on their roster, the Dolphins waived linebacker Billy Strother.

Advertisment

Traylor has been a member of three Super Bowl championship teams in his career, including the 2004 New England Patriots, and the 1997-98 Denver Broncos. With the Patriots in 2004, he started ten of the 16 games in which he played and registered 33 tackles. He also opened two of three playoff games. He started a total of 30 regular season games and two postseason contests in those two championship seasons with the Broncos, and posted two of the three highest tackle totals and two of the three highest sack figures of his career during that two-year span.

Originally a third-round draft choice (61st overall) of Denver in 1991, Traylor played linebacker his first three years in the league before making the move to the line following his third NFL season. In addition to New England (2004) and Denver (1991-92, 1997-2000), Traylor also has played for Green Bay (1993), Kansas City (1995-96) and Chicago (2001-03).

The Patriots thought they were getting Ted Washington II. Didn't work out that way. This guy is the fattest man in the NFL.
