Jets | New Stadium Vote Delayed Again - from www.KFFL.com
Mon, 23 May 2005 18:34:21 -0700

The Associated Press reports the vote about the New York Jets new $2 billion stadium has been postponed once again. The stadium is also considered critical to New York landing the 2012 Summer Olympics, but some consider New York a long shot even if it finalizes a stadium deal. State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver was responsible for postponing this vote. Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno and Silver have argued they haven't gotten enough information on the project that would require the state to commit $300 million.

What kind of amenities would they have in this stadium???????? :)

This article is really deceiving. It is a 2 billion dollar redevelopment project, significantly more than just a stadium is involved.

I think the stadium is just about $1 billion of the project...

The Jets can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. They've recently started doing the "Home of the....JETS" shit. I hope there are some Jets fans at the home opener so:

A. They can see how the anthem ending is REALLY done.
B. They can watch their squad get beat to the ground.

Keep in mind that union labor in NYC is about 4x the usual overpriced union rate, because it takes 4 people to do the job of one.

Don't forget that the mob needs to get its cut of all the concrete poured, etc. That gets expensive...

Usually there are 3 guys standing around and watching 1 work ... NYC union must be affiliated with Civil Service Employees... sounds like they are out of the same SOP!
