LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A Carl's Jr. commercial starring a scantily clad Paris Hilton frolicking with a water hose is too hot for a media watchdog group.

"This commercial is basically soft-core porn," said Melissa Caldwell, research director for the Los Angeles-based Parents Television Council. "It's inappropriate for television."

The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday that the group plans to mobilize its more than 1 million members to protest and is considering asking the Federal Communications Commission to declare the ad indecent.

The commercial shows the hotel heiress and reality TV star vamping in a revealing swimsuit as she soaps and rinses a black Bentley. She also takes a bite out of a Carl's Jr. hamburger.

The commercial for the jalapeno-laden "Spicy BBQ Six-Dollar Burger" ends with Hilton's signature tag line, "that's hot."




And remember folks.....the racier version of the commercial will only be shown on their website.

First I want to say that I have no problem with this being broadcast on TV.

I hear all of these complaints about women half naked, (which I agree are not appropriate for children), but have never heard one complaint about the herbal escence ad's.

My 5 year old son see's a tramp half naked on tv and asks me about it, I can tell him it is a half naked tramp. He sees the Herbal Escence commercial where the lady is in the shower having a screaming orgasm and ask me about it, how in the hell do I explain that?

As a guy on a football chatroom there is no problem with it, but it is definately not something I would want my children to watch. I got a warm feeling when she started sucking on her finger, and would change the channel if this came on when my kids were watching, the same way I do when CSI comes on.

Why can't they put a V-chip rating on the commercials, and if you don't want to see pg-13 rated commercials let the v-chip black them out?

I can see why parent watchgroups are against this commercial, but do not see why this is national news, other then Hardees playing their hand to get more advertisement.

Personally, I got DVR from Time Warner for $5 extra a month, and never watch commercials or live tv anymore. Unless Hardee's put the ad on TVland during MacGyver every morning at 7am, my kids have no chance of seeing it.
