To be fair, the reason the Admirals are kicking the crap out of Berlin is because of two turnover's by Berlin deep in their own territory.

i think we have several players in NFLE that are prolly good enough to compete for a spot on the team this year.

scanlon and connot have real chance for a spot because of the issues we have at their position.

jonathan smith has a great chance to be our 3rd runningback who also lines up deep on special teams with Dante Hall. If he works hard and pulls a derrick blaylock and really improves physically in the weight room he has a good chance to be the 2nd stringer behind LJ after Holmes retires.

John Booth and Jeris McIntyre are both prolly longshots but are still in the mix at wide receiver.

Scanlon challenged Connot to a thumbwrestling contest. Connot had to handle his business against Scanlon or lose his honor. Scanlon knew Connot would never sacrifice his pride for a single TD. Excellent strategery by Scanlon.

all the drooling over jarod payton is just irritating

dude didn't even lead his own team is rushing

the only thing they can say is he tied for the league in rushing TD's and his last name is payton.

joe smith led the league in rushing
joe smith led the league in total yards
jonathan smith led the team in rushing
ruvell martin led the league in Touchdowns
Chapman led the league in rushing average
joe smith led the league in carries
payton and flowers tied for rushing touchdowns

and i don't think Payton led ANY of these catagories at any point of the season either.

payton is the RB MVP??? .... i think not

Rich was faster than Maz, should still be after Maz's injuries, unless Maz gotten Lee Majors Bionic knees......

Berlin killed themselves in the 1st half with the turnovers and in the 4th qt ,penalties on 3rd downs after having the Admirals stopped. To have a chance at the end of the game made an exciting finish.

Booth, Smith, Connot, and Scanlon looked pretty good today.

Booth really stood out on a couple of big catches. Has his work cut out to make team after getting Hakim now.

Connot laid some big hits, looked OK in coverage on all but a couple of plays. Has his work cut out to make team in TC.

Smith was solid, nothing septacular, just solid, could make team as 3rd back and ST's

Scanlon looked OK, wasn't a stellar day, layed the QB out once, took a few bad angles and got caught a few times in blocks. I still thinks he makes the roster, we will carry 3 MLB's, I see Maz as the odd guy out due to being the slowest MLB.

I'm ready for some Chiefs football, camp is still 2 months away ! :banghead:

Berlin's offense was teh suck. It appeared Amsterdam knew their signals... their D was all over every play.

Connot made a couple of nice plays.

Booth made a nice grab.

Scanlon is very good at reading plays! It's no wonder he led the league in tackles and was defensive MVP: the guy diagnoses plays and reacts instinctively. The only question I have is how quickly will he react and angle in the NFL - where the speed is much greater?

Maybe an off day ? :hmmm:

I think it was a team effort on the _efense, the whole defense kinda sucked today.

On a side note, the Adimirals defense stepped it up today in the 1st half. That was a big factor in this game.

Props Admirals........ Connot played very well.

Too bad WR and safety positions are so deep this year.

Connot made a real nice play in the endzone at the end of the game to preserve the win. Almost picked it off  It was fun to watch the game today with all the young players we had on the field. How many yards would J. Smith have had in his NFLE season if wasn't splitting time with J. Payton? I think Smith is perfect for our O and I hope that the signing of R. Holcomb doesn't mean we lose Smith. I think Holcumb fits too but Smith should be our 3rd RB IMO.

Holcombe's a fullback.

He can play both which is part of the reason he's a good signing. If he's our backup FB and RB we can save a roster spot but that put's smith on the street.

I agree with all of this. I would not be surprised if Booth and McIntyre both made practice squad.

I also think with CP being a regular at World Bowl games, that our QBOTF is playing backup for the Texans right now. Wouldn't be at all surprised if we send a draft pick to Houston next Spring for Ragone.
