Well I got job,not in the medical field.
I call companies and ask about putting vending machines in their place of business, it has missing childrens posters on them.
I work 8:30 - 5:00 Mon-Fri, and I get my own desk which I can eat drink and even smoke at while I work and get paid.
Hmmmm sit on my ass, eat, drink, smoke, and use the phone, not much different than being home except I'm getting paid to do it.

Nah, I've done work where I sit all day, I won't gain weight, its very hard for me to gain a lb. I wouldn't mind gaining about 5 lbs. I only wear a size 5, I'd like to be in a size 7. :)

You know that at the end of each cigarette you've quit and you stupidly decide to start again every time you light a new one, right?
And congrats on the job. Don't think working in a call center is all fun and game, though. It can be rough work.

I remember the first and last time I took a drag on a cigarette. I couldn't understand why anyone would take another drag. Foul.

I worked at Sprint Telephone once as a telemarketer, but calling people at their home is terrible, I'm hoping since its businesses and its for a good cause it won't be as bad. :shake:
I have never tried to quit, I have only been smoking for 8 years, I didn't start till I was 32, I'd like to quit, but i have never tried. If I got the flu and couldnt smoke for a few days then I'd never go back to it.

Well I have my application in at Cox South and I'm hoping they call, if they do I will change jobs, the job I start tomorrow doesn't offer any insurance. I really took anything to start getting a paycheck, but yea I do best at what I know, and the medical field is just about all I know. Thanks Red. :)

Congrats on the job. That being said, I would prepare myself for a short stay if I were you. Unless you have some magical charm that makes people want to put vending machines in their places of business, I'm predicting a high turnover rate within the company.

When I worked at the newspaper there were 5 or 6 pretty heavy smokers. Somehow I became friends with them all.

yea I don't doubt it, they only have like 10 people who work there, its inside of a house that has nothing but desks in it, they have been there for years.
I am just hoping the hospital calls, I put a application in at a nursing home and they called but I had already taken the other job,I have never worked in a nursing home and I hope I don't ever have to.
The company I'm working for is called Midwestern, their main office is in St. Louis, its a non-profit organization to help find missing children, I'm hoping its not to hard, but I don't get paid commission, just by the hour.
