That guy was pretty good. I wonder if he can play corner.

Not unless he can play MLB. He's not better than Knight and at least one of either Woods or Wesley has to show up. If not we have about 20 other safties on the roster.

I'd take him as a back SS. But, for the money he'll demand, he'll more likely demand money that a starting SS would get paid. I agree, we have enough safeties on our roster in Woods, Wesley, Knight, and Harts, we are pretty deep there.

Don't forget Bartee.

Hey cut him some slack. He has shown pretty well there at safety from what I hear so far

A lot of people are saying he was moved to safety. I have yet to see any verification on this from the Kansas City Chiefs depth charts.

The Jets wouldn't have cut him at this point if he still had the skills to be a starter. We really don't need the depth, especially since he won't be playing ST.

I thought he had a good year for them last year. I wonder why they cut him.

I remember when losing Reggie Tongue was a big deal. Now we don't even want him back

He doesn't fit the profile. ROFL

All of a sudden I crave Doritos, but the nasty orange-finger residue is enough to dissuade me for the time being.

He had a huge play in their playoff game against the Steelers, had that long INT TD return.... probably would've been the play of the game had Doug Brien been able to hit a FG.

I remember thinking that our safties TONGUE and WOOD, was kinda gay, if you think about it.

Well, I never thought about it but I'm not surprised you did. You're gay aren't you?

That's SDChiefan's schtick - you're supposed to be the grumpy old man.

You left Scanlon off the list.

The depth charts have yet to be updated with the current roster.

Here is Vermeil himself:

Q: Did you move William Bartee to safety and is that permanent?

VERMEIL: “Yes we did move him. He made an interception today. Right now we will say it’s permanent if everything goes right with the cornerback position. He made a few nice plays today.”

Bob Dole is disappointed that Jackie Paper isn't the Jets GM.
