Maybe someday you'll get HBO Comedy. Cox has had it for at least four years now. Who knows how long they had it before I was here.
I have it but have never watched it.

Cox is supposed to add it here sometime. I'm keeping any eye out for it.

Cox just added it here in Oklahoma City this month. I''m signing up for the digital package so I can get it. (I'm really desperate for some football.) My wife's okay with it because they also added SoapNet.

Cable is always playing catch up to satellite. Hell, they still aren't 100% digital and we have been since 1994. To each his own.

I'm going to go satellite once the HD-receivers+tivo comes down in price.

Not quite the same thing dipjet. Cable started with the locals 40 years ago and have made little progress since then. The only thing that keeps them improving is us. And even then they are always behind. And, Directv has more than 98% of the locals covered. Got any more to say?

The thing that pisses me off most about cable companies is their constant "negotiations" to get contracts to give consumer channels. Just like this NFL network debacle. DTV has had it for a year.

How about my local HDTV channels? Sorry, won't get those for a few years or so. We are in "negotiations". ****ing gonifs.

It's in the basic package with Directv. No extra charge either. Oh, yeah, we were first with it, as usual.

A majority of the KC market will likely be getting the NFL Network next summer, after Time Warner trades the market to Comcast (not a done deal, but very likely). To be honest, as much as I like some of the shows on the NFL Network, I'd rather live without it and keep TW than have to deal with Comcast's horrible net service, and terrible program guide GUI.

Yeah, I do have to expend a couple of posts to slap you down. But what the hell, it's better than the
Word Association game postwhoring.

There was a show about cheerleaders trying to win the the beach bash or whatever it is called on NFL Network. They were playing flag football and tug o war in bikinis. Lot of bouncing boobies. But ya know it is good for football stuff too.

The only reason cable > sattellite is the internet service. As of now, the fastest an average Joe can get is cable internet.

It's not like you have to subscribe to the television programming to get the Internet service.

At least, with Cox Phoenix you don't.

Well, it's cheaper to get both.

No, of course you don't. At least in the 6 states I operate in. They try to strongarm you into their TV service as well but I would too if I had a shitty product I couldn't sell otherwise. What do you think Topjerk?

Yeah, like its such a strange concept to offer discounts on bulk or packaged services.

Well Skippy I gotta run, unlike you I wont be setting around in the office waiting on a non paying cable customer to come in and asked to be hooked up to an inferior product. Ill be too busy climbing on roofs and scalping dishes off the top.

I agree. If I had something good and something shitty, I'd try to make my customers take the shitty in order to get the good. Good job :thumb:
