Still 0-0 in 1st.

Nice job to get out of the bases loaded jam.

Homeplate umpire is a bit inconsistent in his zone.

Still 1-0, Royals. Mid 2nd.

2-0 Royals as A. Castillo singled to center, bringing M. Teahen home.

Not sure, but he needed that DP.

Nice 4-6-3 DP to end the threat.

Greinke continues to struggle. What the hell's wrong with him?

I dunno. It's time to start giving the kid some expectations though. The baby Royals are done. Production is now the name of the game.

3-2 Brooklyn.

Expletive. Hitting the batter while you're ahead of the count? That's crap. Pitch it low and away, make him chase it.

Jesus, I don't know about you Royals fans, but there has to be something wrong with Greinkie.

Holy shit! 94 pitches in 3.2 innings of work?

I don't know what's causing Greinke's problems, but I wonder if what's compounding the situation is that Zack's never really struggled at any level before, and he may not know how to deal with mortality. His psyche may be a bit dinged.

It is foreign to him. Baird even said when we were being cautious with him and holding him back in the minors that he wanted to see how he dealed with adversity... but he really never had to. He just blew threw every level of the system, and you can't hold him back forever waiting for him to hit a speedbump.

Good inning there though. Pretty good job of holding it down to only 3 runs considering how bad it could've been.

OK, I'm not very hip...What the hell does "donkey punch" mean?

You're ass-f*cking a girl and just before you cum you punch her in the back of the head. The shock tightens up her bunghole and makes your orgasm that much more pleasurable.

Or so I've heard.

leviw
06-16-2005, 08:25 PM
This is as clean of definition as I can find:

"A "donkey punch" is an act of sexual assault and rape in which a man will punch his partner (generally a woman) in the back of the head as hard as he can prior to orgasm in order to 1) cause her body to clench up, or 2) for surprise penetration of the anus."

Did anyone else just see Trent Green in the crowd? Just as Erickson finished his warm up tosses, the camera went to a couple guys in the crowd, and as it panned back Green's head came into view as they went back to the game. I don't think the anouncers noticed because they never mentioned it.

And to answer my own question...

The Royals haven't enjoyed a five-game winning streak since June 22-27, 2003, when they won one game at St. Louis, three at Cleveland and one more against the Cardinals at home.

Also says on the Royals website that as of now they plan to list Sweeney as day-to-day and not put him on the DL.

Redskins | Gardner Told: No need to be There
Thu, 16 Jun 2005 13:04:40 -0700

ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli, reports the Washington Redskins and WR Rod Gardner have mutually decided it is OK if he does not attend this weekend's minicamp. Given that his four-year tenure in Washington has all but ended, the team essentially excused Gardner from all offseason activities. His absence at the upcoming minicamp further suggests his pending departure from the team. By releasing Gardner, the Redskins will recoup $2.096 million in cap space, the full amount of his scheduled 2005 base salary.

I know there are some people around here who would like to have him. Still want him with Hakim signed?

That's what I heard also as well. That's a pretty awesome thing to do if you ask me, based on the history that NYY and the Dodgers have.

I was watching the game on RSTN and they said that 2 teams had swept LA and NY in the same season... back in 97 and 98. Cant remember the teams though...

Also TK, I tried telling you that the last 5 win streak was in 2003 before the all star break... but I guess you missed my post...

Anyway... Hope we can take 2 out of 3 vs Houston, hopefully their bats wont show up....

What a team we have. Those Royals are really something.

Game was great tonight. There was a lot more energy in the park, more people wearing Royals gear, people staying around more, etc., than earlier this season.

I loved watching the sweep game. The Dodgers fans around me were kind of mouthy. It was enjoyable to watch them slink away after the top of the 8th.

Did I hear that right on SportsCenter? I think they just said we're the first team to ever sweep the Yankees and Dodgers in the same season. I guess it wouldn't be that common....

I believe that's since the'98 Angels, or at least that's what I read.....

He sucks, that's all there is to it. I hope the Royals trade him away or something.

The most important piece of that history being one being in the AL and one in the NL. How long has interleague play been going on?

1997 I believe.

Whoo!

I fell asleep in the 4th inning. Sometime after the home run put them up 3-2. Looks like I missed a doozy. But no complaints. Nothing quite like winning.

4-5 series, 2 sweeps, Rangers the only blemish so far. Someone posted something about the record earlier, 6-0 against the Yanks and Dodgers, and 5-4 against AZ, SF and Tex. I'd rather think of it as 10-2 against AZ, LA, NY and SF, with that 1-2 hiccup against Tx. But however you look at it, 11-4 after the start of the season is f'in amazing.

On the postgame interview with Bell they said they were the first team ever to sweep the NYY and LA Dodgers within a month of playing both.Bell was quite surprised and then the interviewer clarified that was since the start of interleague play.
