It was university training, closed circuit on-campus tv. He was a producer of some sort and the sports guy didn't show, so he filled in, badly.

Also forgot to add, he related this to Dave because he was in the same University training program at Ball State that Dave was in back in the day.

How do you completely forget how to talk. I've been nervous on TV before and I've lost my train of thought on the radio, but I never forgot English.

You were probably being extemporaneous. Looked to me like he was having a problem dealing with Kyron problems, and locked halfway between 'should I see if this straightens out?' and 'should I just wing it?"
