There was a man who bought furniture and re-sold it lower then what it costs him. Soon he becomes a millionaire, how is that possible? :hmmm:

Riddle number 2.

You are on an island in the middle of a lake. The lake has never had a bridge going out to island.
However there is a tractor on the island and is used to farm a small field there. Puzzled as to how the tractor had gotten onto the island, you ask and find out that the tractor was not placed there on the island by boat or by air. And it wasn't built on the island. Explain how the tractor got there?

#2 The lake wasn't always a lake. The field flooded leaving the island at it's highest point with the tractor.

1). He's a millionaire with twice the debt.

2). The lake is man made, and was driven to the island before the lake was filled.

Those are good answers however incorrect.

The first answer is solely related to his selling the furniture only.

1. Several things are possible....
-He rents out the stuff.
-He works at a pawn shop and therefore can sell and "re-sell" things.

2. Again, could be several things...
-There could have been a drought, where a a strip of land was exposed, or perhaps at somepoint the whole lake dried up.
-It could have iced over.
-Perhaps there wasn't a lake there at all until a torrential downpour, or the lake is manmade, and the tractor got trapped out on the island.

Just read the thread. That first one is a doozy.

#1 - He's Al Capone.

#2 - It's a neolithic tractor, and was driven onto the island during the Ice Age, when the lake was covered by a glacier.
