only the top 52 count against the cap until final roster cuts ... mitchell probably doesn't even show up yet.

If there's no signing bonus, then he doesn't get anything but per diem for the time spent in camp, I think.

Actually it is a set training camp daily salary all players make the same during this time period, it is set as I recall in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. For the average Joe they would love to make as much money as I recall. I just don't remember the exact amount. The money does not count against the salary cap. Anyway it is more than just per diem as you and I think of it.

Last I heard rookies get $750 a week and vets. get $1,000 for training camp. To me that sounds like a nice chunk of money.... but for these guys it aint sh*t. lol
