What would you do if the head of another country walked off with your Super Bowl Ring?

Can their customs really be that different that he thought it was a gift?

Maybe this is how King Carl can finally get a ring.

Have a summit meeting with Al "Squiggy" Davis, and slip his ring during the handshake!

Then start babbling incoherently like Rufus Dawes...

Squiggy will be too confused to ask for his ring back!

A merciful end to the dreaded five year plan!!

So much for taking the Patriots logo seriously. How about a nice hammer and sickle on the helmet for the Pats.

New England Commies.

I'd be calling for the guy who holds the football if I was Kraft.

eff Putin. He's one step removed from being a dictator. I have little doubt he doesn't know crap about football, the New England Patriots, or anything else relating to what the ring means. "Cool shiny bauble" and he takes it, just as he has taken over the businesses of those who threaten his rulership.

So fug'im.

NFL Networks' Total Access reports Kraft as saying that the ring was in fact a gift, as a symbol of his respect for Putin and the Russian people.

Im going to call bullshit on that I think.

I think what happened was that Kraft was showing off his new hardware, Putin liked it and either thought it was a gift or decided to take it. Either way, Kraft didnt man up and retrieve his property either because he was afraid, or didnt want to generate bad publicity and embarrass Putin for trying to jack his ring.

Why the hell would you give away a superbowl ring like that? Im aware that the Pats have won 3 of the last 4 superbowls, but damn man. Those things are damn hard to come by.

Id be kinda pissed as a player if the owner I played for just gave away the Championship ring that I busted my ass to help win. Not a good way to show your appreciation for your players IMO.

International relations comes ahead of a football ring. Besides, Kraft is a businessman. I'm sure he wants business in Russia with his products.
