Additionally, afriend was good enough to point me to Downloadthemall, a Firefox extension that allows you to automatically download all linked images on a page.

WARNING, though, if you choose to download the entire "large" image archive, make sure you have (a) spare time, and (b) plenty of space, as all 1350-odd images take up 6GB.
If you don't want to do that, I would suggest using Downloadthemall to yank all the thumbnail files (which total about 20MB), and use that to determine which large images you want.
