For those of our readers in the Los Angeles area, keep your eyes peeled for people peddling iPods at dirt cheap prices on the street corners. These babies are gonna go fast! According to a police new report released on the LAPD's web site, a clever young chap tricked the people running a warehouse into handing over 12,000 iPods they were holding:
On Wednesday, June 1, 2005, the suspect entered a freight forwarding business located in the 11000 block of La Cienega Boulevard in Pacific Area. The suspect used fraudulent means to take delivery of over 12,000 iPod MP3 players.
According to the report, the shipment is worth $2.6M.
