This one is going to be exciting. I just feel it.

Per request, I am now also including a link to the Chiefs Hall of Fame if anyone would like to read about certain players.

The top four are no-brainers...the battle for 5th should be between Nick Lowery & Henry Marshall.

I'm guessing you forgot about Lynch?

Bill Kenney did an incredible job with what he had to work with. Albert Lewis, Bill Maas, Wille Lanier and Nick Lowery.

This is the deepest poll yet by far, in my opinion.

Lanier and Lewis were the two no-brainers, and Lowery and Lynch were close enough behind that they're automatic in my opinion, too.

The #5 spot was a challenge. I think that Kearney, Kenney, Maas, Marsalis, and Marshall are all strong, and Livingston, Lutz, and Lindstrom deserve some consideration, too. I eventually settled on Maas since he was a multiple pro bowler, but I hate leaving out Marshall and some others.

Nope...my list is:

Willie Lanier
Albert Lewis
Jim Lynch
Bill Maas
Nick Lowery

Henry Marshall was one of the best Chiefs WR's ever, but couldn't vote for him over Lowery.

I voted for Lanier, Lewis, Lynch Marsalis, and Kearney. Probably shoulkd have picked Maas over Kearney. I did't consider Lowery because he is a kicker and stomped on our nuts for a few bucks when he went to the Jets.

Marshall and Bill Kenney also got strong consideration from me, but Marshall was just an average receiver (who happened to be the best on our roster most years he played) and Kenney had one phenominal year '83, that he was never able to come close to reproducing.

Don't let those guys intimidate you, c4me. And let me stand up for you by saying this: you will always be welcome in any fantasy football league that I'm in.

Here's some stats on Henry Marshall:

http://www.kcambassadors.com/docs/bios.asp?bio=HenryMarshall

Henry Marshall stepped in as a starter after the Chiefs drafted him as their fourth pick in the third round of the 1976 NFL draft. During his 12 year stay with the Chiefs, Marshall became the all-time leading receiver with 416 receptions and is second in career receiving yards with 6,545. He missed games in only three seasons, playing in 165 games out of a possible 177, and started in 135.

Marshall compiled at least 20 receptions and 300 receiving yards in his first 11 seasons. He had five years of 40 or more catches, and 10 years of 400 yards or more. He led the team in receptions in 1980, 1982 &and1984.

For his outstanding performance, Marshall was named to the Chiefs 25 Year All-'time Team in 1987.

I voted for Lanier, Lewis, Lynch Marsalis, and Kearney. Probably should have picked Maas over Kearney.

Just a note on Kearney....he is currently a biology teacher at Washington High School in Kansas City, KS.

Great guy!

Anybody that has ever spent any appreciable amount of time around Henry Marshall knows what a great guy he is. I respected his talent as a player (I voted for him in this poll and left out Maas), but truly respected what a great representative he was and still is for the KC Chiefs.

The fact that I can vote for Henry Marshall shows how bad our receivers have been over the years.

Who didn't vote for Albert Lewis? Is it because he went to the Raiders?

I picked

Lanier
Lewis
Lowery
Lynch

For the 5th spot I considered Kearney, Maas, Marsalis, and Marshall, but since I couldn't decide I just went with 4. Kearney was my sentimental favorite, but Maas probably deserved my 5th vote.

It's interesting to me that nobody has been a unanimous vote. Priest came close, and Willie Lanier and Albert Lewis are close on this one, but no one has made 100 percent. I think some Broncos fans may be present.

You think chiefs4me is a Denver fan? That would explain a lot.

I voted for Kearney, Willie Freaking Lanier, A. Lewis, Lowery, and Marsalis, before I read any other replies. I'm now thinking I should have picked Lynch, but kicking Kearney, Marsalis, or Lowery off would be tough to do. Obviously, Willie and Albert are untouchables.

Ahh.. I'll live with it.

Blame Rain Man. He was the one thought the only reason that Willie Lanier didn't have 100% support is because some Denver fans must be voting.

Willie Lanier and Albert Lewis are no-brainers, and anyone that didn't pick both of these guys are no-brainers as well.

For my next 3, I had to go with guys that were a part of the only SB champion in team history.

Lynch, Kearney and Marsalis.
