We know that Warfield will be shorted $776,470 in base salary. Does that money still count against the cap? If not, that could a deciding factor in any future FA pickups during this off-season. Any capologists out there?

Thanks. That's too bad. Although, this may be an opportune time to renegotiate Warfield's contract and free up some cap space for this year. He and his agent might be agreeable to supplementing his newly reduced income with a little bonus money via a new contract.
