You know, I'm really starting to like his game. If he can improve his baserunning, I think he could be an excellent leadoff hitter.

This has nothing to do with speed. This is about better technique, reading pitchers, getting better jumps, etc.

DeJesus is flipping great. I think he is the best player on the team right now.

So do you pencil him in the leadoff position for the Yankees or Red Sox after this year.
:D
Sorry I am bored carry on :)

He has reminded me of Carlos Beltran since they brought him up.

We've got him for at least 4 more years, if we want him.

Good. That will be good for the Royals. Nice to see some younger player pan out for them.

He keeps hitting the ball like he has been and he'll be in the lineup for a long time. It's a damn good thing he's found a balanced game, cuz Lubanski isn't close to being Major League ready. Honestly, he looks like a kid that won't see the K until the second half of the 07 season.

Chit, I would think Stairs would put on a better show for the HR Derby than Jason Bay.

I wish Dejesus had more speed and learned how to steal bases, otherwise hes just a solid of'er. I think Lubanski will eventually dethrone him but he is doing better. Berroa is pretty much on fire lately.

DeJesus did lead off, correct? If that is the case, he could be a good solid #2 hitter, if the Royals manage to get a solid lead-off hitter.
