The Royals still had Damon,Dye,Beltran,Randa,Ibanez,Perez (maybe, hes been doing well in chi-town) along with Sweeney, Berroa, and then we could sign some good catcher, then we would have enough playmakers to win the division.

Thats a pretty solid lineup in my eyes. I just wish we had the type of owners to pay 'em the dough. If we had this lineup today, it would allow our young pitching staff to develope, and we could be a threat in the AL. Of course I dont think we could compete really with the BoSox or Yankmees, but at least we would make the playoffs. Theres nothing more exciting in MLB than post season play.

Color me confused. How do we "still have" Damon and Berroa? Of course, had we kept Dye (and paid his ridiculous salaries that Oakland paid), I guess we could have still picked up Perez. Either way, we'd still finish second or third in the division.
