She said that the Chiefs are the #1 player in the Law sweepstakes. They are very interested. Most interesting thing she said(if true) was that the Chiefs have the 2nd most cap room of all the NFL teams. :hmmm:

But I thought Law had a deal that was going to be signed 48 hours after lasts weeks interviews, so we all know he obviously has signed with another team.

I heard Ty Law was going to sign for the vet minimum in the CFL... cause that's where the real glory is.

Ty Law came by my farm to interview for a job. I told him he would have to show me he could climb to the top of the corn tank before I would hire him.He declined. He was willing to sign for the farm minimum ( 5.15 per hour plus a free pig after he had worked for a year. I just couldn't hire him without climbing the corn tank.

OK.. You named one team with more Cap than the Chiefs. Unless you know of another how do you know that KC is not in that #2 spot?

no ...

we don't know the exact current figures

but i find it highly unlikely to think that we went from 30th to 2nd since april 29th just by cutting Morton.

you really think we are 2nd in cap room?

I honestly don't know. There were a lot of FA signings that would have dropped a lot of those teams in front of us.

I don't know about 2nd in cap room, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that we perhaps cleared a large amount with a few restructures. I think there are a few pretty big salaried contracts on the book for this year, Warfield at 3.3, Browning and Dalton at 1.2, Barber at 2.2 (need an injury settlement there, I think), Shields at 4.3, Waters at 1.63, Welbourn at 1.2, Green at 4.7, Priest at 2.4, T-Rich at 1.25, Gonzo at 3.0, Kennison at 1.6.

Lot of fat could be cut if we decided to risk a bit of eventual cap difficulty. Or a bit more is perhaps the better way of putting it.

i have no doubt that we COULD clear a ton of space

we can sign Law or anyone else if we choose to

but i have some serious doubts that we've cleared a ton of cap room without being ready to sign anyone specific.

IF they go after law they will get him to agree to a deal in principal and then go a clear the cap room needed.

07-20-2005, 04:53 PM
I don't disagree. I don't think there's anything to the Law rumors. Was just pointing out how relatively easy it would be for us to free up a large chunk of space. We'd probably be killing ourselves down the line, of course.

What does Rhonda look like anyway? Anybody seen her?

Every time I hear her I want to slap her, but personality doesn't really mean a lot to me..

I looked on the KCSP website, and this is all I can find:

Rhonda Moss should crawl up her own fat stinking ass.......... she is the worst about taking rumor and reporting it as fact. I can imagine people with the Chiefs/Royals local college teams giving the fat ugly heifer bogus information and then turning on 610 just to see how long it takes for her stupid ass to be the first to report it.

Can someone tell me one instance where she has ever been correct in her reporting on a coming occurance?
