Pilot Chuck Yeager, pilot of the Bell X-1, was out of his plane today because his place had frozen up between attempts (at breaking the sound barrier). Over the day, his plane had stiffened. It was loosened up in the mechanic's room, and when it got off the table, it locked again. He was also having spasms in his cockpit. Brigadier General Yeager couldn't say if he is expected to fly tomorrow."
