PHOENIX (July 31, 2005) -- The Arizona Cardinals released former first-round pick Wendell Bryant on July 30.

The defensive tackle, selected in the 2002 draft out of Wisconsin, played in 29 games with nine starts and had 51 tackles and one sack.

Last season, he played only three games and made one assisted tackle.

"Wendell just did not fit in for us," coach Dennis Green said in a statement. "When you look at the numbers and who we have along the defensive line, we just didn't see a role for Wendell."

Wow, What's up with this guy. I hope we don't see happening this next year with us and Sims. :shake:

I'm not sure he's worse. Maybe the new Cards are just better at assessing non-talent.
