View Full Version : Is it just me, or is it really dark in here?

We had a blackout here in Denver about 90 minutes ago, and everything is really, really dark here. I haven't seen any wrecks at the nearby intersection yet, but it'll happen eventually.

I'm presuming it's just central Denver, right? This isn't the result of some nationwide EMP pulse sent down by aliens right before the invasion, right?

You mean it's not just me? I've been running on a generator for an hour and a half. My neighbors are pretty pissed about the noise, but I can't sleep without the sweet release of internet porn.

The Elwaynians are attacking. They've come for their leader, and all hi shitty used to be car lots.

I'm thinking about doing some looting, but the only stores near me are:

two grocery stores
an antique store
a hardware store
a Realtor
a picture framing shop
an Einstein's bagels
a coffee shop
a gay t-shirt shop
a pet supplies store

None of these really seem like good candidates for looting.

I really should be looting some place that sells laptop batteries.

Oh. Lights are back on. I guess it's a good thing I didn't go loot that t-shirt stop.

allowed to loot?

why it's right there in the second amendment...

the people have a right to bear arms and loot gay t-shirt stores...

or a right to be gay and to bare t-shirts with no arms...

i can never remember... :(

This thread would have been funnier if no one would have responded to Kevin, the fact that Kevin posted in a blackout was pretty funny in and of itself.

I must admit that I did find it rather funny that I was sitting here in the pitch black, and realized that I could still get on chiefsplanet since the phones were still working.

I would have looted the antique store. You could get good money whenever you say you inherited these things from your great grandmother and find out they're worth thousands.

agree, I would pick the bagel store, too.
just had some bagels these days, they're way better in north America than it's in Taiwan...

He could have a UPSSuppose so, but the avg dude would only buy one that would last long enough to let them power down in a controlled manner. In fact most people that have them buy the corresponding software that does a controlled shutdown so if they are not at home the computer shuts off with no loss of data or damage.
