I could be wrong..but this looks like Hicks isnt staying at home on this photo...but Casey is pulling so Im probably wrong..The Plummer rollout worked way to good against us and you could see the play unfold from the TV but the DE's never noticed..and either did the LB with the Tight End coming across the field.

Looks like a runningback has the ball.

Anyway, Hicks has been overpursuing for years. I don't see that why that would change now.

I swear I am going to start neg-repping anyone who reminds me Eric Hicks is on this team.

It's really hard to tell anything from just that picture, but it looks like the O-line is manhandling the D-Line, with Hicks being dominated by a (much smaller) RB.

It's easy to see from that picture that nothing has changed with Ryan Sims.

It looks like Sims was either coming up fast from the safety position or getting blown off the line of scrimmage. I wonder which it is.

First they move Bartee to safety and now Sims.

Wow we're gonna have alot of safeties.

In KC's defense, I will say that the famous "Plummer Rollout" was held in check the second time they played Denver.

I like our chances at defending it again this year.

I think it's pretty clear that Hicks is setting up to perform the "make the quarterback throw the ball with his off-hand" move. You guys are blind.

I understand a RB has the ball, but it was so easy for Plummer to just tuck and run the other way with it..with the option of running it or throwing to the TE that was wide open. Im sure it happened but I would love to see them try to pull it off and Hall or Allen just smoke Plummer the second he turns up field. that would be sweet.

Gunther Cunningham once again displayed his no-nonsense work ethic, while at the same time exposing his disdain for clean shaven vaginas.

Between the two of them, my money would be on Sims. He has more career interceptions.

LB speed is your best deterrant to the bootleg.

I have always cringed when Plummet pulled that bootleg crap against the Chiefs cause I and all of you knew it would work BIG! But, now I am not worried in the least. It may work once in awhile but boy oh boy is DJ gonna rock Plummet's world this year. I cannot wait for him to turn around and get buried. It's gonna happen and it is gonna be sweet!

Well since the RB already has the ball and the QB is nowhere to be seen, I would say the defense has already diagnosed the play and they are trying to get to the left side of the offensive formation. This doesn't mean that they will not defend properly on a bootleg.

Yes and I don't think Sims has ever given up a touchdown on any man he's been covering.

Hell ya, we got us a shutdown corner right now. Line em up opposite Surtain and let it roll.

Huh? Where in the world did you hear that? That's a terrible way to protect the bootleg, because you're leaving the center of the field open for the tight end and runningback screens.

The best defense against the bootleg is disciplined DEs. That's why they call it "contain."

LB speed is your best deterrant to the bootleg.Plummer bootlegs this year can potentially end with Bell crushing him or DJ stripping the ball. That's new.

I hope to GOD you guys start using your linebackers to do the job of the Defensive end.

I hope they don't have to as well but with Hicks who the hell wouldn't.

Our biggest problem with the bootleg was Vonnie Holliday. That asshole was trying to play everyone's position but his own and kept getting burned. If our linebackers and D-line play well enough that the ends don't feel like they need to be out of position in order to help out, the bootleg is ineffective.

I think the Chiefs did a fine job of defending the bootleg in the last meeting. ;)

It doesn't even look like he got touched by a blocker when he came through the hole and nailed the RB in the backfield. Isn't that like an instant DQ in the NFL?

The Offense is going to be bad this season. Saunders (http://www.uwrf.edu/chiefs/photogallery/050802pm/050802pm-171.html) can't even watch they are doing so bad.
