My wife and I adopted again. Yep, we have a new puppy in the house. His name is Chuey and he is a full blooded minature schnauzer. We rescued him from a Schnauzer rescue group in Humbolt, KS. Someone had abandoned him at a Walmart.
He gets along great with our current mutt, Ecko. She was also adopted last year from a rescue organization.
Here's a couple of pictures of him and you can click on the link for more pictures of him and Ecko. There's a few short videos too.

My wife and I adopted a mini schnauzer about a year and a half ago.
GREAT dog. Very lovable and great with kids.
Smart as a whip to boot.
Best of luck with your new addition.

A Mexican Schnauzer?
Yeah, Chuey might be a better name for a Chihuahua. My father-in-law wanted to name him Chico (for "little one") but it sounds too much like Ecko. So since the little shit wants to chew on everything, we settled on Chuey.

Damn I have very unpleasant memories running through my head with my old Schnauzer. Hope it works out. I ended up giving mine away papers and all because the damn thing was bad as hell.
One of the best decisions I've made in a while too.
Good luck.

Damn. Completely different than my experience. Mine only took a couple of swats on the ol' ass to figure out that furniture was not to be chewed on. Rawhides and denta-bones took care of it after that.
She was a breeze to housebreak as well.

Cool, always good to have a new member of the family. Just so all you dog people know I received information on all the breeds being targeted through BSL in different parts of the country today.
Under the guise of banning "pit bulls" these breeds of dogs, along with any mixed breed dog containing as an element of it's make-up any of these breeds have been named explicitly, or by physical description in breed specific dog ordinances enacted, proposed, or tabled in the United States of America. There are no stop gaps built into BSL to prevent the addition of all breeds of dogs.

Congrats....I know it was upsetting when the vacancy became open.
With a goatee like that....its going to take him days to get the peanut butter licked out of his beard after gochiefs visits.

Congrats to you & the Mrs. Dart! He looks earily similar to another dof that used to reside there. Good for you! Can't wait to be another chewing post for him. See you soon.

I love miniature schnauzers. I had one that had to be put down a couple years ago. It had Kidney problems. I miss her. They are great dogs. Congrats on the new addition!

They get along pretty good but I think the newness is wearing out for the older dog. We got him on Saturday and for two days they played almost non-stop. Now Ecko heads downstairs to hide out when she gets tired of his shit. At least she's somewhat tolerant of him. If it was me and some little shit came up and sunk his razor sharp teeth into my ear, I'd bite his little freakin' head off.
