Eh. You can't build a defense on paper. I don't know, I'm not the least bit affected either way. That said, Bell needs to get healthy, these games are where all this spare parts we've put together need to learn to play together. This defense isn't going to gel overnight.

Im a little worried. But I also I understand, it's the first preseason game of the year. We've got a lot of new players on defense. Give them a game or two to get it all figured out.

The one thing that bothers me, is hearing the same old excuses. You listen to Dick Vermeil speak, and he is making the same damn excuses for this defense. The same one's he's made after every game for the last 3 years. "It's gap responsibility." "Easy stuff to fix." "It's the same play the Giants beat us with" "Just a guy a little out of position" "Will fix it"

If it's so easy fix, why wasn't it fixed 3 years ago?
