How did the Eagles get this guy as a 3rd string quarterback? I don't remember hearing anything about it in the offseason. He'd probably be competing for a starting job for a lot of teams.

I would take him over Koy Detmer that is for sure.

He's one of those guys that fans seem to be so high on, but no actual NFL team thinks highly of, or they would've gone after him. I don't know, I've never been blown away with him... got great physical tools, I think he lacks in the mental aspect of the game...

I don't know a damn thing about him, but the stats suggest that he sucks.

EDIT: Of course, he's ahead of Andy Hall from U of DE on Philly's depth chart, so I guess Hall sucks more.

I heard someone from Detroit descibe him as not NFL material and has way too weak an arm. Could make plays with his feet is the plus side of it though. Sounds like a Rich Gannon without skills.

His career 43.3 completion percentage is probably one of the leading reasons.

Hmmmm.. Dimbulb, candy arm, red ass. Check.

But how would he fare in your average River Falls bar?

He is an alum of the vaunted Rutger's (QBU) Football program.

He also was very close to becoming a Chief on draft day..2001? He was taken right before one of our late picks and DV said we would have taken him on Terry Shea's rec.

Of course, playing for a shitty Detroit Lions can do that to you.

Go look through all the QB statistics on nfl.com or espn.com, and tell me how many QBs that have been in the NFL three years or more that have a career 45% completion percentage. There have been a lot of very bad teams, but somehow there are still very few QBs that manage to be that horrible.

Most of the QBs that are thought of as horrible, and that have played for horrible teams, still have a 50%+ completion percentage.

He's no Jim, that's for sure.

They have some kick ass receivers, but Joey Harrington sucks too.

I think Harrington is just in a system that he's not suited for.
