www.rondoindustries.741.com has just had a major overhall. If nothing else please visit it and take a look and tell me if I'm getting good at making websites. I also have cartoons on the site you can watch. Or you can call me back names and ban me.

OMFG. I'm going to assume you want an honest critique of the web site, so I'll give you one. As for the cartoons... On to the website.

Let's see, how many rules can you break in one site?

1. Audio on a web page:
A MAJOR no-no. Not only that but yours is f**king annoying and short.

2. Audio with no stop/start and/or volume:
If you must put audio on your page for f**ks sake let people turn it off.

3. Multiple flashing graphics:
I damn near had a seizure when I went to the page. That annoying ass song may have been what saved me.

4. Flashturbation:
Nobody gives a flying crap about your little red square thingy. Also, I don't know who that goob is in the picture on the bottom but he's annoying and the quality is too low.

5. Layering issues:
Your flash bit pops up in front of your ad. Makes it kind of useless.

6. Ads:
Could you have a couple of more and could they be any bigger?

7. Colored text on a black background:
If you're going to do a black background avoid all dark text, then blue, then purple, then red. You've managed to do them with the 4 lines of text you have, quite an acheivement.

8. Font Sizes:
Do your links really need to be 72pt fonts?

9. Use of graphics anti-aliased for white background on a black background site:
Check out the google image on the boards index. I'm pretty sure google has a dark background version. Find it and use it.

10. Your HTML isn't valid:
You don't declare your doc type. Hell, you don't even close your tags. HTML 101, all sites (using the HTML 4.01 standard) should at least look like this:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">
<html>
<head>
<title>Page Title</title>
</head>
<body>
<p>Put your web site here.</p>
</body>
</html>

You need a much cleaner design. You should also spend some time with this site so that you can figure out what is bad and why:

http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/

Here are some examples of design done right that would probably meet your tastes and requirements. Understand that these are done by real pros, you won't be able to do exactly what they have but you should try to emulate some of the elements.

http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/8664.html
http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/9071.html <-notice I can turn off the sound
http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/9057.html
http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/9053.html <-full audio controls.
http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/8727.html

There you go. A couple of hundred bucks worth of free advice. If this is your first project don't worry. Your issue is purely exposure at this point.

Its kind of funny...the first thing I thought when I saw the site was how much Simplex would shit himself if he came across this link.

I am no pro by any means but I do an ok job for myself...he could pick apart some of the poor coding and lack of validation for days on end I imagine.

I love the huge list you gave and then talked about how it didn't validate.

Keep cranking away Mark. Remember people enjoy simple and clean.

I'll bet you closed your body and html tags. Yup, you did. :D

HOWEVER, you have butchered your validation:

http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A//www.zachishere.com/

Basically you're coding in html 4.01(ish) but the doctype provided by wordpress is XHTML 1.0 Transitional. Just in case you were curious. ;)

Just so Mark knows, I ripped it apart that thouroughly to help educate him. I was that green once (ok, maybe not) and someone helped me out then. Can't improve if you don't know where you screwed up.

I had little doubt ZachIsHere wouldnt validate. I am not quite up to speed on how to do some positioning things with valid code. Amongst other things I imagine.

If you're gonna waste your time ****ing around on the internet, you might as well do a decent job.

Had difficulty getting past the pop-up adds in order to view your site.
