Royals rank 20 out of 30

The Skinny:
This is yet another pretty park and loyal fan base betrayed by a penurious owner more interested in squeezing every last penny out of the franchise than in producing a competitive team. Despite its age, Kauffman holds its own aesthetically with any of the new generation of ballparks. And for what it lacks in modern comforts, it makes up for in one of the majors' most family-friendly surroundings.

If that's true, we might as well mail in another 100 loss season. IMHO, until Glass puts up about ~$50MM and decides he wants to be an owner of a MLB franchise, we're going to continue to see Triple A production.

Oh, we might tease the baseball world every once and a while, like the Inidans are doing this season with their $42MM Payroll. However, they have something the Royals don't have - good starting pitching.
