Picked up a 4pk of Budweiser in the 16 oz aluminum bottles. I'll admit, I really like the idea. I've been buying 16 oz cans quite a bit over the years, and these are easier to find a space for in the fridge. The esthetic appeal is modern and streamlined, like a sports car in a way. Come to think about it, an "empty" remeinds me of a big, discharged CO2 cartridge. The biggest advantage here may be how cold you can get these and keep these, while you enjoy. Down side? Well, you cant peel the label and stick it on your forehead.

Thumbs up.

In Okinawa, we used to get that shit for .99 a bottle. That, and a case of Bud Light (or any beer, really), would run you ten bucks.

One of the outdoor music venues here carried those for a few months, but Bob Dole has been unable to find them anywhere else locally.

I drink nothing in a green bottle (with one exception). I drink nothing brewed in St. Louis or Milwaukee. I drink 2 beers brewed in Golden in a pinch, but very few people even know they are Coors products.

I enjoy an amber or brown ale with some body. I'm a sucker for Belgium style brews.

I'm not a huge fan of ESB's and stouts but I'll drink them when I'm in a mood.

Interesting, I know tons of guys who will only drink Busch light because Bud Light gives them headaches. Crazy.

Personally, I keep an AB product around for sporting events (superstition; and I only crack one when the team I'm cheering for is on offense or at bat...or I'm empty).

As to Phob's two Golden products, I'd say Kings got one of them with Killians, and the other is Blue Moon. If I was guessin'.

Have you been dating my wife? The two of you have identical beer tastes. She broke out a corked bottle beer on me a couple of weeks ago - I can't remember the name......

And it's no big deal, just help me out and tell her to pick her shit up a little more often. Thanks.

Heh...overheard at a bar here in CO recently:
Customer: "Are lagers and Fat Tire all you have on tap?"
Server: "Yeah."
Customer: "I'll have a water."

I don't like Fat Tire (but I'll drink it if it's free), of course I don't like ambers too much in general. 1554 could be a bit too dark for you if you're a typical fat tire person. I really don't think they're that simialr, personally, I think 1554 is probably New Belgium's best normal production beer. 95+% of the people I talk to love Fat Tire, but IMO, it isn't even one of New Belgium's top 5 beers.
