C-Mac,

Being his age, in the physical condition that he's in, and with the history between our teams, what did you expect? He should have stayed in his luxury box.

Hell, with his money, he should be riding a Segue.

Our owner isn't doing much better. I'm not going to mock the man's physical state.

But I am surprised he hasn't yet started a shit storm about the Saints moving into HIS LA market...

Just respect for for an aging person.
I dont like the Raiders obviously, I'm a Chiefs fan. Just as with Lamar Hunt, without Al Davis this league is not what it is today. If you want to poke fun at his decisions or his dress that he can control thats one thing, but someone's aging health really shouldnt be a target for jousting.

I was sitting behind the end zone for the Raiders game last year, just a few rows back, and saw him walking around on the field before the game with 'old washed up noodle arm.

He really didn't look well, seemed like it was all he could do just to get around. But he appeared to be friendly to everyone who came up to him and shook his hand and such.

Well, until this crazy middle-aged psycho ran onto the field and started chasing after noodle arm, begging for him to put his pigskin in her park.

Sigh, okay. I'll go with the old parental saying "If you can't say anything nice, then don't say it at all" way.

C-Mac,

You're right. A buzzkiller, but right. :)

I'm pretty sure he's going to die. I'm pretty sure it will be sooner rather than later. I'm pretty sure Tags will release a gripping summary of Al's accomplishments over the years which may bring a tear to the eye.... and then he'll throw the biggest damn party the NFL has ever seen. Al has contributed much to the formation of the game and he's also hurt the league in latter years. It's unfortunate that he's tarnished his legacy so.

 ROFLWait... is this over the top for Al or around the back for Al? Al will be the one using it, so it's around the back for him. If around the back is a pet peeve for some people, it's because when they are about to use a roll, it's around the back, and not over the top.

That's a sad photo of Al Davis in the topic post of this thread. It really looks like he's lost a lot of body mass. Look at how narrow his shoulders are.

Here's a photo from when he coached the Raiders, from an outstanding AFL tribute website:
