Just got word tonight that my oldest daughter was just awarded her PHD with honors (Cum Laude?) in Molecular Biophisics from FSU. Damn she has been going to school a long time! We get to watch her walk in December. :holdman: :toast: PBJ

Maybe two. She has been published twice, gotten quite a few grants and we helped her some.

Probably, I have read some of her papers and only understand words similar to the content of this sentence. Oh yeah and she is cool!

I'd explain it to you but judging by the number of empty beers cans laying around, you wouldn't remember it tomorrow anyway. :p

This is great news. A lot of exciting science is happening right now at the interface of biology and physics. What does she have planned next?

Beats my second cousin who got her PhD in French Literature then decided she really didn't want to teach. WTF are you going to do with a PhD in French Lit OTHER than teach? Just goes to prove that higher education doesn't always mean the person is smart.

Say, is your daughter a hottie? There are probably some guys on this board that would like to saddle up to a young sugar mama.

Looks like she has met the right guy who also has the same type of degree and they may end up working for a very large medical company in the extreme northwest. :D

She had several options after her Masters from WSU, but FSU offered her the best deal. We tried to get her hooked up at Northwestern for obvious reasons.

She just worked very hard and oh hell yes she is white hot. But fortunately , she has found the right guy.
