Nope, Trotter and Mathis.

Fighting before the game.

Then moments later there was a HUGE group of players from each getting in the other groups face. Pretty intense scene.

WTF?

I just saw the rplay, and Trotter never threw a punch. What a fn joke. The ref should have never tossed these guys without a penalty and a warning.

Absolutely a joke. If you are going to throw someone out of a game, you better be pretty damn sure they threw a punch. Trotter didn't.

They did say on ESPNews that it was Hall, not Mathis.

You know, speaking of fights, I missed anybody here mentioning that somebody on the Jets' sideline roughed-up Vilma yesterday...

Not that day... 16 sacks in one game. :)

They did say on ESPNews that it was Hall, not Mathis.
They were wrong then.

There was another Falcons player involved, though it looked like his name was "Hill" not "Hall" (on his jersey).

They haven't mentioned anyone else (hill, hall or whoever) being ejected.

How fugged up is the scene of;

The ESPN staff going apeshit in their coverage of the scuffle.
An immense America flag being unfurled, and
Mariah Carey crooning 'Hero' in the background.

It's like an alien planet.

Fair or not, I don't feel sorry for him. He should have kept his yap shut and warmed up. It was Trotter that ran up at his own peril and enabled the whole situation to boil over.

It was DeAngelo Hall jumping in there (No. 21), but you're correct on it only being the Mathis ejection, just stating what ESPNews said.

Maybe not, but you can't just make up rules and eject people that didn't throw a punch. The ref should be fined and suspended. Yes, I'm serious.

Yep. Mathis told Trotter the Chiefs have a better defense than the Eagles do now.

He was grabbing and pulling the guy's face mask. That's worse than a punch.

To bad they weren't on a hockey rink...those refs would of let them finish...:p

Speaking of fights, anyone else see that kid in the Pennington jersey punch the KC police officer in the third quarter yesterday?

I was sitting in the upper deck, there was a scuffle about 7-8 sections away between a couple of Chiefs fans and a couple of Jets fans. Cops show up from the upper deck tunnel. The seperate Chiefs / Jets fans. They get the kid in the Pennington jersey in some sort of arm lock. Kid hits the cop 3-4 times in the head / grill.

Wonder how his night in the general lock-up downtown was?

The funniest thing about the pre-game fight was watching the ref throw his flag trying to break it up! I re-wound that on the ole Tivo several times and about fell off the couch laughing! I can just hear him saying "Stop you guys..... I threw my flag! I threw my flag!"
