I liked the pick up of Knight in the offseason but wasn't very excited about it. But now after the first game the dude is a huge upgrade, I must say I was totaly impressed with everything about his game. Sure the dude is not super fast, but the guy is always around the ball, he has great timing.

He's a leader. Anyone else hear him get on DJ after he bit on play action and sammy had to come up and run the Jet player out of bounds?

I've got to say that he's been better (through one game) than I had thought he would be. I've also got to give some props to Wesley, who I thought looked great on Sunday as well. He had his helmet on some Jets during that goal line stand in the second half (where they went for it on 4th down) and helped keep them out on 3rd down.

Good game for the safeties.

Yeah, I saw Sammy chewing on other people a couple of times.

It's about ****ing time we had some real leadership on that defense...

Arrowhead is going to go nuts when Sammy gets his first INT this year.

Bingo

Getting the talent like Bell, DJ, and Surtain is great, but having a guy who can bark orders and is a ball hawk is something we haven't had since the mid 90's

Agree with everything said so far.

Knight was worth every penny.

Yes I saw that and loved it! We need that on the field vocal leadership.

YES! I loved it (not the result of the play, but the passion). I also really liked that several times throughout the game, a play would just about break open, and Sammy would come in and shut it down. I remember one run when Curtis Martin broke a couple of tackles and started to cut to the outside, and it looked like he may pick up the first down, but Knight flew in out of nowhere and shut the play down.

Eh, that's not sayin' much...but, yeah, it's an improvement.

I think our younger players, generally, are more intelligent players too.....Allen and DJ, hopefully.

Wasn't that the first play of the game on D?

Was a top tier Player for years on the vault NO Defense.

No reason to think he'd get worse not injury prone either.
