Should be interesting.

Someone got it right last week, can't remember who and I'm too lazy right now to bring that thread back up...

Well I predicted the Chiefs would hold martin to 56 yards and we would blow them out, I also posted a victory thread early-does that count?

This weeks game is a little tougher, but I will, go with my usual indicators,

Run defense-Go with Chiefs here.
Run offense-Chiefs will dominate their sorry ass line.

Collins will have two fumbles-that is almost a given for the QB that held the record for QB fumbles. He has never held up to the blitz, so this will be their downfall. If we can run all over the much hyped Jets Defense-I don't see how they will stop us if we stick to the ground game and don't get ultra conservative again.

I'm going with a drubbing here, now that Gun is back I think Raider week has resumed its importance and Gun will use that to motivate the defense plus he gets to show off his new toys on National TV.

This is one game I'm wishing I had the KC D in fantasy football as I'm seeing multiple turnovers with at least 1 defensive score and a couple of others which put our offense in great field position.

Homerism at it's finest I'm going with 41-17.

If all of the above goes to hell I'll still take the Chiefs with a W for one reason.........

Nice pick digital-I would love to see Dante get 100 yards combined. He needs to pick it up. That knee injury slowed him down game one. A return would be the icing on the cake.

I guess you don't consider a bar brawl and missing field goals on a regular basis a melt down? He is history. Why wait until one of his 32 yard misses cost us a game? The line drive kickoffs to the ten yard line I won't miss either.

I predict that both teams will post 400-yard games. I predict that if Oakland has another 150 yards in penalties, we will lose. I predict that giving up 390 yards to the Jets while they only managed 7 points is not neccesarily a good sign for your defense (meaning it may also be a fluke driven by turnovers, and that usually teams that make that much yardage will score more than 7). I predict that you underestimate the Raiderz defensive performance vs. the Champs as much as I underestimate the Chiefs defensive performance against the lowly Jets. I predict that if penalties and turnovers are anywhere near even, Oakland will win.

SI's Peter King: "I don't apologize for calling Pennington a goat. He was awful and there is no defense for putting zero points on the board against the Kansas City Chiefs in three-plus quarters. None."

My guess:

Green- 21 for 29, 290 yards, 3 touchdowns

Kennison- 3 catches, 50 yards,
Parker- 5 catches, 80 yards, 1 touchdown
Gonzalez- 4 catches, 50 yards, 1 touchdown
Wilson- 2 catches, 20 yards
Bo/Hall/miscellaneous- 8 catches, 90 yards

Holmes- 18 rushes, 70 yards, 1 touchdown
Johnson- 10 rushes, 60 yards, 1 touchdown (reception)

Tynes- 1 for 1, 4 extra points

Chiefs- 31
Raidurrs- 17

You spot us 17 points and let us hold you to 120 yards in the first half... I'll let you take the 390 total yards. You realize like 40% of their yards came after the score was 27-0 nothing don't you?

I predict that if we win this game, going 0-2 in weeks 3 and 4 won't seem so bad.

If we can head into the bye at 2-2 or better, we got a good shot at the playoffs.

You guys gave up 30 points and had your secondary abused all night against the Patriots.

We gave up, for all intensive purposes, 0 points against the Jets and only allowed 120 total yards in the first half(when Surtain was playing).

There's quite a difference.

You guys gave up 30 points and had your secondary abused all night against the Patriots.I certainly don't deny that we got trounced by the champs, or that you whalloped the Jets. I'm just having trouble with the novel idea that giving up almost 400 yards is a good thing. Last year your defense gave up almost 380 yds/game and was a laughing stock in the NFL. This game you gave up almost 400 yards, and is suddenly being hailed as a powerhouse. ??

All that matters is pts allowed.

Just look at the Pats. How many times over the last three years did they allow high yardage but low pt totals? When they absolutely had to have a punt/turnover they got one.

Thier offense was the same way. Low yardage but scored pts when they had to.

No one said giving up 390 yards is good, but in the half where we actually had Surtain, we only gave up 120 yards to the Jets. In the second half, with Washington and McCleon as our corners, Chad started hitting his receivers. Throw in like an 80 yard drive by Fiedler to end it while we were in soft coverage, and that's how they piled up 390 or whatever yards.

And you can keep ignoring the fact that we held Curtis Martin to 57 yards on 20 carries. :)

The heck with that! As greedy as this may seem, Id like to see the Chiefs win every game. I want to see them go 4-0, not 2-2. This team needs confidence, not a loss in momentum is where Im trying to get at.

I figure a pretty close contest, but we'll score first. I also think that Colquitt will pin the Faid back deep, and the ensuing drive will result in a sack in the end zone by Jared Allen for a safety. Moss'll be good for at least one touchdown as will their running back (whose name escapes me at the moment.) Our D will hold up well, but they will probably let one big play go. It will be interesting till the 4th quarter, when we get a last drive in after the safety to put it away.

Also, there WILL be a shitload of penalties.

I'm predicting that we will expose the Raiders run D to not be as strong as it looked, and it will be Priest, not LJ that is the more productive guy.

I also predict that we continue to get torched through the air, in spite of good QB pressure.
